Grand Theft Auto III coming to mobile devices
It has been 10 years, this month, since the industry changing open-world Grand Theft Auto III game was released to the world. As a result, Rockstar has chosen to commemorate the game by releasing GTAIII (Grand Theft Auto III) for mobile devices!
To commemorate the game’s 10th anniversary, we’re proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto III will be coming to select new generation iOS and Android devices later this fall. For the lineup of devices currently confirmed to be supported at launch, check the list below and stay tuned for more devices to be announced:
Apple iOS Devices: iPad 2, iPhone 4S
Android Phones: Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy S2
Android Tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Grand Theft Auto III will not be Rockstar’s first GTA on mobile devices. Previously, with the release of GTA: Chinatown Wars, they have shown that GTA on mobile devices do indeed work. GTA:Chinatown Wars was reviewed well by critics and proved that mobile devices are more than capable in handling open-world sandbox games.

Apple releases iOS 5 for the iFamily
Today Apple released its major update to iOS, iOS 5, to its iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch product lines. There are several new features in the latest iOS build that include, a new Notification Center, BBM-style iMessage, Reminders, Wi-Fi Sync, iCloud and Twitter integration. Additionally, Apple’s all-new Siri personal assistant is iPhone 4S exclusive.
Note: iTunes 10.5 is required for iCloud and the iOS5 update. iOS 5 is available now on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3rd / 4th generations, and both iPads.
Update: Apple update servers are being hammered with the influx of users trying to download the latest update. Hopefully things will return to normal soon, after users have gotten their update.
