Just when you thought they were down, they pull them back out! Circuit City the dead company has been brought back from beyond the grave by Systemax. Systemax currently owns two major electronic stores, those are Tiger Direct and ComUSA.com. Systemax has been know to previously do this before with CompUSA closing and now it has been done again with Circuit City.
Although we should be happy, should we be? Reported in Systemax’s press release, Circuit City Stores Incorporated closed a deal that’ll net it $6.5 million and in return Systemax gets the rights to all the trademarks and domain names. All we now have to expect for the end user to get is the extra price that Systemax puts on all their parts compared to Fry’s and NewEgg.
What do you think about this deal? Tell us in the comments, as we would love to hear what you think.
