Infinity Ward’s Community Manager Robert Bowling has confirmed that the Call of Duty
developer is in the process of working on a new project for as of yet unnamed platforms.
While concrete details have yet to be revealed, Bowling divulged that the firm might be looking to create a new intellectual property (IP) on top of its existing franchises, with Internet speculation suggesting that the title may possibly take the form of a new science fiction title.
Writing in his blog, Bowling commented, “The recently renegotiated deal may not seem like much of an impact from the outside perspective,” adding, “But it has laid the ground work and kick started our future project, as well as the possibility of a unique new IP by Infinity Ward, that we’ll have complete control over.”
In addition, he also revealed that Infinity Ward has recently renewed its contract with long time publisher, Activision. [Shacknews]
